Have you ever wanted to know which other domains are hosted on the same web server as you or a competitor? There are tools that let you do this but require payment. Well, put your wallet (or purse) back in your pocket (or handbag/manbag) – you can now do it for free with Bing. And, it’s easy.
Google Blogoscoped reported that Microsoft’s search engine Bing lets you know different domains hosted on a given IP (every web server is assigned with a unique IP address on the Internet).
First of all you will need to get the IP address of a domain. You can get the IP of any website by entering the domain name (e.g. domain.co.uk) into a tool like host2ip. Or, for those that are a little more tech-savvy, by opening the command prompt on your computer (start->Run->cmd) and typing ‘ping domain.com’. The output that appears will contain the IP address of that particular domain
Now, make note of the IP, go to Bing and type ‘ip:’ in the search box followed by the IP address you want to check. Then, the search will show you list of all domain names hosted on the same server.
